Just a short message to say we have arrived safely in Bamako after a good drive from Diema. Now at the Sleeping Camel (http://www.sleepingcamel.com) and will take time tomorrow to post an update of what we have been up to since leaving Tambacoumba. The successful 2 balloon flights can be 'sampled' in the meantime from Pam Young's blog at http://diemavillage.wordpress.com/ See most recent posts. What a coincindence - Pam found us while we were driving around in the dark and took us back to her place. Within minutes we learned that she originally came from near Chesterfield and went to Lady Manners School where our children did. She still had her Derbyshire accent so we felt at home at the international crossroads of Mali!
